We had such a great time on Sunday, for the "Non-Perseid Meteor Shower" session...

...that I'm going to set-up equipment again on Wednesday evening - Wednesday, the 14th of August 2013.

A Canadian high pressure will sweep across our region and bring clearing skies - pushing out the muck and humidity. We will set-up Telescopes at 8pm and catch a great crescent Moon and Saturn - and stay till 10:30 pm for our fans.

We are a solid go for tonight's Chicago Astronomer Star Party by the lakefront.

A sunny afternoon will morph into a great clear and cool evening to share views with our fans and friends.

UPDATE:

This just in...

A brand new nova has been discovered just yesterday in the constellation Delphinus...

We will attempt to target this bright nova, (mag 6.8) via telescopes and binoculars... and catch a low ISS pass at 9:37 pm.

This promises to be a great night for urban astronomy!
