Testing Camera and Telescope configurations...almost

It was a pleasant evening and the skies partly cloudy and half a Moon, so I decided to venture out to the lakefront and experiment with mating the Canon Powershot S3 to the Telescope.
My usual parking spot by the Corpernicus statue was occupied by a limo, so I parked a few feet back and set up the tube.
The winds by the lake this evening were a bit brisk, it felt nice, but it shook the telescope something awful and this night would not be the pristine experimental session I had hoped for.
Above were the Moon and Saturn nicely paired up...
Views thru the scope were interesting, with whisps of high clouds transiting the lunar face. Saturn, although visible, was not looking too good with all the atmospheric turbulance.
People started to approach as asked what I was looking at. So interupted my photographic session and focused onto the Moon, Saturn and Venus. The visitors were taken aback by the lunar landscape and with the terminator now in good placement, it brought out good surface relief.
They were also amazed that Saturn's ring system could be made out and the phase of Venus.
The close lunar images were taken thu the eyepiece and were handheld. Not the best images, with the wind buffeting everything, but it's a start.
After conversing with several individuals about the Lunar Landings, water on Mars and exobiology, I called it a pleasant evening and packed up.
