These are quite nice captures of the pairing. Rather haunting and mysterious looking. Do I detect a phase on Mercury? Or is it just a slight movement of the camera?

I'm quite sorry I did not go out and catch this fine conjunction. But tomorrow I will be at the Adler for an Overnight. This is where organizations, (cubscouts etc...), rent out the Adler for a sleepover.

I'll have the chance to take some images at sun down then.

I never really thought about if I could see Mercury's phase or not. I think that it may just be a little wiggle from the camera. I had it on the tripod, but still might have added a little shake from pressing the button.

To eliminate the possible occurance of vibration, I set the camera on timer and let the shakes dampen down. I like to use the custom timer settings and go for 7 seconds.
