Nice pics StarFarmer !

Wow, M22 sure is bright in a dark sky. I can just make it out in my binos from the burbs of Phoenix.

Saturday night I observed with the telescope:
M7
M9
M22
M25
M8 (The Lagoon Nebula)
M20-21
M17 (The Omega Nebula)
M16 (The Eagle Nebula)
M11 (The Wild Duck Cluster) where I spent the most time observing and practicing the star hop to it.

Thanks gunter!  Not too bad for a single exposure on each.  I should have taken one with the horizon to let my friends from Chicago see how much is visible at this latitude.  When I get some free cash and more time I'll invest in better imaging techniques.  Yes, this is my favorite region of the night sky and we're at it's peak.  My wife used the Celestron 15X70 Skymasters (seen left of my scope in the first post's image) and was able to locate many of the objects you listed.  Another club member had 20X80 Celestron binoculars on loan to us from the University of Central Oklahoma. The public attending thought those were "beyond cool."   Next Fri. and Sat. will be the final public viewing nights for the annual July Marathon and if the clouds hold off we expect even darker skies.

I'm at 33 deg N Latitude & Open Cluster NGC 6231 (The Northern Jewel Box) in Scorpius is about the lowest nice DSO I can observe, though I have caught glimpses of Omega Centauri in the binos here. The star Canopus does
also present itself above the horizon, so these are probably the limits of my horizon here in Arizona. Are you further south of me StarFarmer ?

gunter: My primary viewing site is at 36°N 21'W.  I can see all of Scorpious with some room to spare.

The view copied from Stellarium shows my southern sky at 22:00:00CDT tonight. The images of Sagittarious were taken about 50 miles NW of this site. NGC6231 is definitely doable here.

Edit:  Astronomer Joe, I tried posting the image the correct way per your instructions.  I'll keep trying later and get it down.  Thanks for that information and your kind words.
