CANCELLED

The weather promises to be a good one for Friday night, the 14th of June.

But....

There is a major music event called the "Spring Awakening Festival " at Soldier Field and I'm thinking about avoiding the area and setting up further north...perhaps Belmont harbor.

Dunno yet, but I will update this post when I settle on a site by Thursday the 13th.

If there are any suggestions with good foot traffic, do mention a few here.

What about by North Ave Beach? There is always good foot traffic over there.

We have never conducted a star party there, but I'm open to it.

How's the parking situation?....and do we know the place well enough so as to control the area?

Always Horner, but we have comedy fest tix tomorrow, so I couldn't make it...

I like Horner a lot, but would be better if Patrick was there. North ave Beach is cool too, but I don't know the parking, site-up site....and for safety's sake, need a pre-session recon.

The Museum Campus area is uncertain pertaining to accessibility, parking restrictions etc... I took a drive past our usual set-up site last night, saw no signage, but that doesn't mean that they are not up now. We have been surprised before.

So......

I am cancelling any public Chicago Astronomer session for this weekend.

Sorry kids.

Next Tuesday looks like a clear and warn night....stay tuned!
