Chicago Astronomer Public Star Party at Dan Ryan Woods/Cook County Forest Preserve

The Chicago Astronomer will be the on-site Astronomer for a public event involving the "Mighty Acorns", an environmental education based group here in the Chicago area.
This is an family event from about 5:00-6:00PM and the Forest Preserve will host family activities, games, etc. At 6:30 PM there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new pavilion that is being built. After that, there will be a short concert that lasts until about 8:00 - 8:30. The Chicago Astronomers will start with a stargazing talk and invite visitors to share in telescopic views. This would last about an hour or hour and a half. Saturn will be our highlight of the evening.
The Chicago Astronomer will arrive on-site at about 6:00 pm and set-up equipment. Dan Ryan Woods is located at 87th and Western.
We have been discussing this event since April and final details are coming shortly after a logistics meet with the organizers on the 20th of June. (Exact location of scopes, automobile access etc...)
