When I am in town I plan to visit the planetarium. Was just bouncing around on their website and saw something about the Doane Observatory.

they have some events there? Looks like so. and something about overnights.

Have any of you been there to check out this little gem that I missed when I used to visit the museum 20 years ago?

Hi Lost...

The Doane is the Midwest's largest public telescope.

I am a certified Observatory Operator at the Adler and it's well worth the trip. We usually open the Doane on the third Thursday of each month for the "Adler After Dark" activities.

It isn't usually open during the day, unless we schedule some solar viewing sessions for the public.
