Australians will be treated to a lunar occultation of Jupiter during the early morning of 2012 OCT 06. This will begin as a nighttime event for observers in southwestern Australia and a daytime event for observers in southeastern Australia. Adelaide and Melbourne are on the graze path.

Chicagolanders will be in the zone for a daytime occultation of asteroid 15 Eunomia during the morning of OCT 12. That will present quite a challenge for us. It will be a nighttime event for folks on the west coast. My graze map for that event is currently on the same webpage linked above. I’ll post a separate thread here and provide more graphics and a detailed article on my website after the Jupiter occultation has occurred.
