Hello All Im Paul and Im not only new to this site, but I live in Las Vegas and recently I have been getting into the stars and want to by a telescope that I can attach my camera too, PROBLEM...Im on a tight budget can anyone make some suggestions...constructive ones please I have about $1500.00 to do this please help

Welcome, Paul. I'm sure Joe will hop on here soon and give some opinions. He's always good with that. In the meantime, I'd like to offer a couple pointers for out in Vegas. If you have a chance, look up the Las Vegas Astronomical Society. It's an amateur astronomy group out there, and a good group of folks. I joined them for their annual star party at Cathedral Gorge State Park back in September 2010. They were very nice and welcoming. Finding a group like that and attending a couple of their star parties will give you the chance to check out some of the equipment they use. You can try before you buy and see what you like and how it works. Robert Lambert was the president of the club at the time, and I hung with him and his excellent imaging setup for the night. He was a great host and very knowledgeable.

Also, I would recommend checking out Scope City on Flamingo Blvd., just a little west of the strip. They have a LOT of equipment in stock and in their showroom. When I visited there after my Cathedral Gorge adventure, Jim was very nice and spent a lot of time talking with me about astronomy and equipment.
