Lunar and Jupiter imaging

You all know how I hate to waste a clear evening...even in the light bathed alley off my garage. So I set out the 90mm Meade refractor and see what it could deliver...
I set up the Astro-brella jr to block at least two of the offending alley lights...and really helps out a lot.
There was a nice conjunction going on with the Moon and Jupiter...
And so I start out with Jupiter on the 90mm with a 25mm 1.25" eyepiece....
Not too shabby for a $35.00 Ebay scope!
You can clearly see the GRS and a dark oval in the NEB...(pic is upside down).
Shifting up toward the Moon and keeping the 25mm 1.25" eyepiece in - the little scope delivers...
The Chromatic abberation is evident with the circle of yellow and blue...but I can tolerate it.
I pop in a 10mm 1.25" eyepiece...
This is an interesting artifact...
Unknown what it stems from. I say an underground highway to a sub-lunar base...
I set-up the C11, just because I can and the views were indeed quite nice of the Moon, where I start to compare imaging, but a high layer of clouds rolled in and softened things up a bit. Still, we push on...
At about this time...which was 3:00 am, neighbors stopped by, hoping I would be out. They have seen me before with the scopes, but never said hello. This time. they saw me and pulled in the alley. We made fast friends and I'm invited to their yard party next week with - as they say - "a lot of chicks who will dig you man!". If so...pics...plenty of pics... ;D
I slewed to Jupiter for my neighbors, and it blew them away, as they have never peeked through a telescopes before, exclaiming that the C11 is the largest telescope they ever saw. The Moon was even better, as they viewed in amazement of lunar features. I too am impressed what the C11 delivers many times when doing solo observations. They insisted that I bring it to the yard party...the chicks will dig it they say.
How can I decline?
With that, they leave and I go back to solo imaging on Jupiter...
Not as sharp as other sessions, but the GRS stands out nicely and that NEB splotch. Io was doing it's thing, coming from behind I think, but then a heavy thick band of clouds eased overhead...and I quit the session.
I did set-up the C5, but I fixed something that wasn't broken and adjusted the secondary...'cause a tweak here and there fixes things better... Well, I wasn't happy with the results and the pics were even worse. But it's no big. I plan to take it all apart anyway for a much needed cleaning and flocking...collimation will certainly be required and then I'll get the sharp images again.
A good session, although a humid one.
