Hmmm, must be star party season...
Wondering what to do from Thurs Sept 22nd to Sunday Sept 23rd;
why not check out the perennial Prairie Skies Star Party in Bourbonnais, IL
For ole timers, this is the sight of the famous Astrofest.
- quick drive from downtown Chicago, to peek at the Milky Way.
- hike around the Kankakee River area
- talk shop with other amateur telescope makers
- all night sci-fi movies in 4-H camp
- buy from vendors, sell/swap stuff
- midnite chili run
- maybe, even win a door prize
if you volunteer, you get free t-shirt
