Webutation ranks the Chicago astronomer 100% safe

We recently had a post with a link to spam. Chicago Astronomer Curt alerted me to it and was taken care of. But, he also alerted me to a website that checks on web safety against fraud and malware.

Out of curiosity, I punched in my site...and got a clean bill of safety...

I checked this out also, and found that they also create an html code to insert as a gadget on your site. I posted my 100% rating at the bottom of my blog gadgets.

Our site at work gets pummeled quarterly by a company paid to fold, spindle, and mutilate. It is intense, but has caught a few vulnerabilities. Mostly they find software backend bits that need updating.

It is cool to keep an eye on the ever-changing web safety though. Make a cal alarm and check quarterly. Or just poke Centaur. :-)
