The Chicago Park District unveiled their plans to permanently convert the old Meigs airport area into a Nature preserve...including provisions for astronomical enjoyment.
It would be the perfect setting for big sky observation and Chicago Astronomer sessions. I am still under contract with the Park District, with a schedule of 2011 sessions planned. So perhaps, we could make this area a Chicago Astronomer base.
