Hi,

I am currently looking for a good place to stargaze. I found the city and its suburbs to be poor locations, due to light pollution. Does anyone have a good place to recommend? I am willing to drive several hours. It would be a big plus if the location is romantic and/or comfortable, as I'll be going with my date ;D

Hi Salty My name is Stargazer aka Becky. Was wondering how far you are willing to travel. I am asking because I own a 80 acre farm near Hannibal Mo. About 30 miles from there. You could camp out for the weekend here or we have two star parties a year here. One is Two Rivers Spring Star Party April 20 through 23, 2009 and Earth Wind and Sky Star Party Aug 20 through 23, 2009. just send me either an email or pm and Ill get back to ya. We have no light pollution here, very quiet. nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile away. very dark skies.
