partly cloudy
Because of the partly cloudy skys I was just cruising around the areas that were pretty clear, which were the northern cross and cassiopeia. I happen to remember the fairy ring cluster which is about 4 degrees to the west of Eta Cygnii. Its a ragged circle containing about six double stars making the circle and there is a double star in the middle also.
I've also been working on trying to see the north american nebula lately. some success I think, I'm starting to be able to notice the back ground stars get dimmer behind the nebula so I can follow the out line along pretty good.
