Yes I took out the cannon last night and ran the cable through the bedroom window hoping to get in some viewing. Well the cables froze up and the drives decided not to work so what I did was pile on the layers of cloths and put on the carharts and go out and try to find the comet. No luck there but I did find a nice cluster near Orion I had not seen Before. All this was with the Bino's. I am going to tryagain tonight before I go to a Christmas Party.

What was that new cluster you discovered? Can you post a chart of it here?...as I would like to see what you found.

It is clear tonight, and I will try a bino run for Q2, but I have my doubts. The near full moon is against my efforts as well.

Ok Guys,

I found it again and due to my stupidity I did figure out what I was looking at. After carefully going over a few star chars I figured out I had been chasing the comet over a couple days. In my very much so light polluted skies I do not see the tail so to me it looked like a new cluster. But this cluster moved nightly. I will contunie to look for it as it is fun to watch the movement each night. I did draw it out the other night after about a 1/2 hour of watching it. It was beautifully placed near Taurus. Cant wait until it is near the Pleiades the I will try to get pics of it. I am going to try to use the Binos and the camera together. Hopefully I will be able to catch it from Fla in Feb.
I guess I will be very busy at the Winter Star Party and cant wait for it. I have already started packing and Im down to only 36 days. YEA!!!!!!!! I will tell you guys all about it when I get home.
