Well I took the 6" out last night along with the Bino's. Saw more through the Bino's then I did the scope. I saw M44, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, M13, The Double in Big Dipper, and a host of other nice targets all through the Bino's. Now the scope seeing that it was in a bad spot for viewing anything. Big tree in the way. Next time it will be placed in the front of the house instead on the side. I will see more. I have been working on some observing programs from the Texas Star Party. Yes I know I get the chance to do them and recieve the pins. It helps to know the gentelman who does them. There are 4 Im working on. One during the day Im haveing a hard time doing with the Bino's. No setting circles to work with. Oh well.

If its clear tonight the scope will go out again. Time to start studing Saturn.

I haven't used setting circles in such a long time, that I think I lost the ability... A setting circle session is in store soon!

There are times that I prefer to just use binos, a chart, and spend a couple of hours re-acquainting myself with the new objects as the seasons pass.

Do you have the monster binos you got on a tripod?
