Hi all,
my apologies for not up to date report....just wanted to share some pix with you guys

here are the pix of partial solar eclipse, which was visible from Asia. As I'm from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia got a chance to observe it, although the weather wasn't so "nice" ;D :

this was my first ever eclipse observation, and I've enjoyed it realllllllly much! I didn't manage to find any solar filters here in Mongolia, but Curt(Centaur) told me to project the image through a telescope. By the way, thanks Curt for helping!
So I've used my built 55mm f/8 refractor.

Thanks for sharing your eclipse shots.

Watching the lunar curve slip in front of the solar disk is always an exciting event. I remember my first partial eclipse in the mid 70's with my 60mm refractor, (which I still have), and projected the image just as you did there.

If you can, show us more of your telescope. I'm interested in the construction...
