The Invasion
I saw "The Invasion" this evening and found it palatable.

It's the old reworked concept of alien spores invading and taking over human hosts for a better world without war and conflict. The lead characters are scientists who battle for survival of the human race...from Baltimore.
Nicole Kidman does a decent acting job and fills out her sweaters just fine...although at times her native accent creeps in the dialogue too often. No real surprises in the movie, we all seen it before in the original and countless other chase movies. They use the real tragedy of the Space Shuttle Columbia, renamed something else - as the start of the plague, (which I though in bad taste).
The actor who plays the current James Bond (Daniel Craig ), is the lead male, and he's ok, but I think while he is playing Bond, he should stay as the character and not attempt to play other roles - as it dilutes the believability of the main role.
The ending was too trite, quick and clean, but alright.
It's not a great suspenseful movie, but entertaining if your expectations are low and like Kidman in tight clothes, bra and panties. Which I do... ;D
It's a DVD flick, but ok if you have nothing to do on a Saturday afternoon and catch the matinee.
Side note:
Renowned film critic Roger Ebert was in the house watching along with us and shared the elevator together down with me. He looks good.
