Hey Guys

Well After being down here almost a year I found the GAG site again (the St Louis Gateway Astronomy Group) and were going to do a Star Party here at the farm. If you guys want to come down your welcome to. Dont forget this weekend is the Applefest. We dont know for sure the date yet but Dennis (the owner of the site) might be here this weekend to check out the farm. The past two nights we've had beautiful clear skies just chock full of stars. I wish ya'll could see them. In my mind they are far better then Vanna's farm. Finally had the scope out last weekend. We took out the 120mm. Saw so much that the list is to long to list. I'm telling ya guys you gus have got to come down here one of these days. Even just sitting here with no equipment you see so much. There is more stars then you can count and the MIlky Way just shines. On some nights you can almost read a paper by star light..

Just thought I would let ya'll know whats been going on down here.

Great that the Gag and HGF are joining forces for a star party. Perhaps after your first session and the logitics are set up, maybe the next Astrofest could relocate to your property. It would be a good way to fund and progress your astronomical projects and host one of the biggest gathering in the midwest.

I have heard minimal of the four day Astrofest event. Most of it got clouded out, but some observational time got accomplished I understand.

For those interested The Heavens Gate Star Party is this weekend. The 20th and 21st. Stay overnight is fine. The group from GAG will be here along with the girl scouts on fri night. Yo0u all are welcome to come down and enjoy the night sky. Just bring warm blankets.
