The Very First Chicago Astronomer Certificate
I knew that our first Star Party will be a great one, and all due to Al's generous offer to host our First Chicago Astronomer Star Party and the great people involved. But a handshake would not be sufficient enough to show our appreciation.
So I stowed away Al's certificate in my astronomical gear and waited for a good time to stealthily extract it and gather signatures in secret. I covertly approached every member and requested their signature, hoping to keep it hidden from Al's eyes. I then put it away for the appropriate time to present it.
It was dinner time now, and hot pizza pies were on the table for us waiting for us. I had the cert in a shoulder bag and put it behind me on a chair...trying not to lay my weight on it. After we concluded dinner and discussion, we presented Al with the completed certificate.

Now, either I have a terrible sunburn, I'm flushed from all the excitement or the red lights in the garage influenced my appearance. I haven't decided which yet.
Notice that we all maintained our signatures neatly near the bottom, but Brian... is way up in the corner! And hey...I don't even have one of these! How did that happen?
A small symbol of our thanks for a great night of looking up...as astronomers tend to do.
