What has everyone been up to lately. Me Ive just been helping a bunch of Brownies and girlscouts earn badges. Im about to hold a small girl scout outing here at the farm next fri night for viewing then camping. I hope this is the first of many.

My training with ALPO is starting up again, this time with NO complaints from neighbors. YEA!!!!!!!!!! well maybe a coyote or two. Still doing the comet hunt if the weather would work with me. Im hoping to spot 93P for the girls, I think they would get a hoot out of that.

Hey Becks,

How come the neighbors were complaining before? Amateur astronomy in the nude, eh?

As for me, I'll be training the new class of telescope operators at the Adler Planetarium on solar observing along with the H-Alpha scope. The University of Illinois at Chicago is having an unveiling of an astronomical outdoor piece and I'll be there with scope representing the Adler and enjoying the festivities. I also have the public sessions at the Adler scheduled, which are fun.

I haven't been out much with scope at my usual site of recent. One of my slo-mo controls has become loose and needs repair, but I haven't been able to attend to it, on a different note - Chicago Astronomer Steve just got a 100mm refractor, and I'm anxious to take a peek.

Missed 73P on my last venture out. The muck in the air was just too much to view it and I must have passed over it countless times searching for it in the eyepiece.

There are also many household chores to attend to, gutters, replacing a walkway and of course...auto maintenance. It just never ends. But I consider time at the telescope soothing and a nice get away from lifes obsticles...

Would you believe I was looking in their windows. Me of all people. Ya right. The cannon could not see anything thing closer then 2 miles. Oh well. Hey I might have a suprize for you guys. Ill know in a couple days if I get it. I'll post it here for ya'll.
