Warm Country Christmas Greetings to ya'll.

May the skies be clear
No dew on the Scopes
and warm winter nights for viewing
come your way this Holiday Season

Laramie and Jasper are doing well and send their Holiday Greattings.
Star our newest addition (a 4 day old Ram were bottle feeding) sends his as well. The chickens and geese are also doing great.

The skies are clear the cold not to bad 40º as I write this. Orion looks good can see the sword with no problem. Andromeda is a wonderful sight naked eye.

Warm Holiday thoughts are sent to ya'll from the farm,
Hope to see ya'll down here for some viewing and camping come next year. That means you to Joe!!!!!!!!!

Still awaiting the package Joe-when will it go out???

Hey Becks,

Thanks for the X-mas wishes. We should be seeing some pics of a country winter of your part of the Earth, why not post some up?

I think an entourage of Chicago Astronomers should make time for a weekend trip down to Barry Illinois and camp out under counrty skies. 2007 perhaps?

Sometime before spring, I'll send out those Pale Blue Dot III materials..I'll let you know when.

Joe and Gang

We lost all our snow about a week after it fell. A country Christmas is just like a dream come true. Crystal clear skies at night, Warm days and plenty of peace and quiet. The animals all call at night making wonderful music. I just wish ya'll could see it.

Here is a pic of the new addition to the farm. He is a 6 day old Ram.

Follows me all around. His name is Star. Im bottle feeding him atleast three times a day.

Im Saddened to say our new addition passed away early this morning. He got real sick yesterday and last night we took him to the vet. We spoke to the gentleman who gave him to us and he is going to give me another one as soon as its born. He has a couple on the way. We will make sure this one is nursing fine before we get it. :)He knows Im very sad over his passing and wants to make it right as he didnt know it did not get what he needed from mama when he was first born. He didnt get the colostrum he needed. I'll let you know when its here.

It's always rough losing an animal/pet and hope the next one will be a healthy one.

We only had him for a short time but he fiollowed me everywhere. I miss his cute little face looking over the tub each time I went in there. I hope the new ones are born soon.
