Looks like it's about 12th mag right now. Even at it's brightest, seeing it from the city will be iffy at best. Worth hearing from those (not already in space ) who will have managed to observe it this time.

The head of the AOP, Elizabeth Warner, states that it will get to the 9th magnitude, still rather dim for Chicago skies, but it will be fun in search of it.

Att opposition, the comet will still be far away so it will still be in
the 12th mag range... in late June, before impact, it will be about mag 9.
