Here are a few pics from Saturday night.

The shots were all taken with my Fuji camera and my cousin Mark's Celestron. The pictures of the scopes are my Meade DS114 (and the front of my gas pig Windstar Limited), his ETX 90, and his Celestron 8. There is a case on the ground with my eyepieces. and another with my 20x80 binos, which we call the canons. I didn't think to get a pic of my 6" on the mount. Next time out I will.

Pics of jupiter are; one single shot of Jupiter and it's surrounding moons, and a stack from a video taken with the Fuji.

Satrun pic is one shot.

All Jupiter and Saturn pics were 2 second exposures. The video settings for the stacked image are automatic. I'd have to ask Mark what the frame count was on the stack, don't remember

You are quite right...and with an evening full of planets, a certainty.

Yesterday,( 07 June), I was at the Adler catching the Mayan Calendar lecture and Chicago Astronomer Steve was at the CAS meeting. Afterwards we set up scopes by the south lawn for some shoot out comparisons between the Mighty 80mm Nikon refractor and his new Orion 100mm refractor. I'll post my finding in another post, but we also had the great fun of showing the public views and had fun discussing astronomy...
