Solar Disk thru Early Morning Haze

Whilst on my way home, the early morning Sun was trying to break through the heavy haze hanging over the city of Chicago - which was hot and muggy.
With my trusty Powershot S3 I stopped the car and took a few shots...
This was my first shot and my favorite of the series. Shot at 1/3200 and wide open aperture it captures a passing cloud.

The images returning were still too bright, and without a neutral density filter I improvised with stacking a polarizer on top of my UV filter, which cut down on the incoming light nicely.
No discernible sunspot activity on the solar surface.
