I've had the 8" LX200 classic for about a month now (sold the 5" Mak-Cass the day I got this one). Even though there was a quarter moon (which I also took pics of) I decided to attempt shooting some brighter clusters. Katodog's M13 shot made me realize that 15 seconds (the Canon A510's max exposure) would probably be enough. Afocally shot with a 32mm Plossel. All are at 400 ISO. Some of the fainter "stars" are noise from the high ISO.

Now nothing showed up on the preview screen, but I was surprised. Some processing in photoshop. Unlike my moon/planet pics, I found it is better to not use any zoom on the dsos, even if it means some vignetting.

second M13 stars are a little more pinpoint, but fewer.

Those are quite cool if not remarkable images taken by you. It's amazing what can be captured by amateurs with relatively simple equipment. The color is good and details even better.

I'm quite impressed and thanks for sharing.
