All Solar all the time with the Chicago Astronomer at the North Park Village Nature Center

Straight from our Smith Park evening session on Friday, 14 June  we will be at North Park Village Nature Center Saturday afternoon to share safe views the Sun in the "Solidarity in Nature-Summer Kick off" and engage in discussions with our fans about the Sun, the April Eclipse and the recent Auroral display.

I will have telescopes in both White Light and Hydrogen-Alpha wavelengths, bring in views not normally observed in regular telescopes.

We enjoy bringing Astronomy and meeting our friends at North Park for several years now and have several appearances scheduled at the Center for this observational season.

We will attend to our fans from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm on a nice Summer's day, setting up telescopes just off the parking lot at the center....

An Popsicle Solar Session at North Park Village Nature Center

We set-up solar scopes in a slightly different spot than our usual to catch the setting sun as long as we could and this locale gave us a vista between trees and an extended viewing time.....

Solar lovers stopped by to catch a nice display of Sunspots and a great tail-like fan Prominence this day...

And Sam and his Dad enjoyed practicing imaging the solar disk with us...

And our North Park hosts treated us very well with ice water and endless popsicles...
