ASM Astronomy Students learn to use Telescopes

As part of our lessons in Astronomy, is proper use and understanding of telescopes. My students will be become experts soon and will receive telescopes to keep. We travel up to our rooftop terrace and bring along our 10" Dobsonian scope, binoculars and smaller table top Dobs for practice. The 1/4 Moon was out and fortunately, we had a clear sky.
I did prep our teens prior on the types of scopes, a bit of the history and usage....
With veteran Astro teens to assist our new students, we spent about an hour with our scopes...
Our next telescope practice class will be with include this telescope that was generously donated by one of my Chicago Astronomer fans....
