Chicago Astronomer crew for a Pre-Eclipse get together

The Chicago Astronomer crew rarely has the opportunity to get together without the busy and hectic public observation sessions and just share stories and swap ideas.
The crew has selected various locations along the shadow path As we all prep for the upcoming eclipse, we all want to know where all are setting up gear and our travel plans...
Many have several contingency plans, nudged by the weather conditions, ready to relocate.
...and we rewatched the 2017 eclipse by members of our crew...fun menories.
It also slices and dices.
We spent the evening sharing imaging and observational techniques..
Maria brought out her Remote Controlled Godzilla...to the delight of the crew...
A fun time with friends and fellow Astronomers and a big shout out to our wonderful and skilled Chicago Astronomer crew, connecting thousand of sky lovers to the cosmos....
