Chicago Astronomer Fans....
The Chicago Astronomer will return as the Resident Astronomer crew of the 606 Trail (Since 2015) for our monthly astro session this Friday, the 18th of August from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
We will enjoy a razor thin Crescent Moon after sunset, beautifully displayed on our instruments. Examining the edge of the shadow, (Terminator), brings out details otherwise lost in the full illumination of the Full Moon. ..
We may even catch a good "Earthshine" bouncing off the surface of our planet and offering a subtle glow on the non-illuminated part of the Moon.
We encourage our Chicago Astronomer friends and fans to bring their own telescopes and share the skies with us. If you need guidance, we will be eager to assist you in operating your telescope and answer question in all things astronomical.
