The Tuesday Preumbral Lunar eclipse was a good event to have observed. Myself and other Chicago Astronomers shared a session by the lakefront yesterday and a detailed post can be found here:

At times the winds were fierce, but we tolerated the weather to catch this quite cool event. I even managed to capture a twin prop plane crossing the face.
