Northerly Island's "Fall Adventure Day"

Join the Chicago Astronomer and the Chicago Park District in a joint session on a crisp fall afternoon at Chicago's front lawn and observe the face of the Sun through telescopes - safely and comfortably.
We will set-up equipment at 11:00 am and attend to park guests till 2:00 pm, sharing views of Sunspots and solar prominences and discussing all things astronomical.
Look for the big Astrobrella, (Astronomers love shade) and the largest free public telescope in the city and take a peek. The weather will be great for our events, as there will be other family oriented activities at the Island.
Join us on this free event and all ages are welcome.
