Monster Prominences

Fellow Chicago Astronomer Bill notified the crew about a monster prominence on the Sun this day. It was already 6:30 pm and any direct solar views were gonna be hard to catch, but looking around, the setting Sun was bathing my garage doors and I had just about 15 minutes of shooting.
Setting up the CG-5 mount and the Adler's Coronado 40mm Solar H-Alpha scope, (on extended loan), I started to snap away...
Using the Zhumell 1.25mm Zoom eyepiece, it screws directly into the Canon T5i adapter with decent results...
I attempted to capture some white light images, but by this time, the solar disk was sinking behind neighbor garage roofs.
Not a bad 15 minute alley session.
