Solar Observation on a fall afternoon Sunspot AR2192
19 October 2014
Monster sized Sunspot AR 2192 is turning Earthway and I spent some time with the solar disk this crisp fall afternoon, setting up the C102mm Refractor with a full aperture Solar filter and riding on top of the GC-5 mount for about 30 minutes.
The skies were very hazy this day and resolution was compromised, but still displayed the size of this huge sunspot...
In H-Alpha the area was not as impressive and solar prominence activity was minimal....
I'll keep following this Sunspot and hopefully will stick around for the upcoming Partial Solar Eclipse on the 23rd of October....
