Surprise meteor capture during a Shake-out test of the Canon T5i

I recently got a new Canon T5i to capture better astro photos than the Canon Powershot S3 can do. Taking it out to the lakefront to shake it out on a bitterly cold and gusty night - temps at 19 degrees and wind chill at zero....
Taking test shots of the skyline and surrounding area...
The cloud band off the lakeshore was eerie....
I was observing a clear sky with familiar winter objects such as Orion and Sirius over the Adler Planetarium Dome...
Repositioning myself along the rear of the Adler, I made the Doane Observatory my anchor and shot off a number of frames, with the lower half of Orion and Jupiter riding high. Setting the T5i on full manual, I expose for 6 seconds at 1000 ISO/f 5.6 and with Tungsten White Balance. On the last frame I shot, I noticed that a nice meteor displayed a bright trail on it's way out over the lake....did I catch it?...I hoped...
YES....!!!!
And just barely... ;D
One can discern the corkscrew-curly cue motion of the meteor in it's travel.
Satisfied with the test and capture...I take just a few more moments to see if I could image the rising Moon over the cloud bank...
Beams of Moon glow were punching through the breaks on the leading edge of the cloud bank....more on those laters.
But I consider this a good sign in capturing a meteor with a good personality and within minutes of this test session....
