15 minutes with the Quarter Moon
16 July 2013
My massive trees at Joe's estates prevent much astronomy, but there is a gap, past the meridian and it gives me about a 15 minute window to check celestial objects from my front steps. The Quarter Moon and Saturn were teasing me, so I set-up the 5" SCT on the CG-4 mount for a super-quick imaging session on the Moon...
Nothing fancy, just some quick snaps on a hot & humid Chicago evening...
Then....at about 10:30 pm....I lose my imaging opportunity and this impromptu session is over.
