Hey y'all.

I want to mount my Iphone 4S to my CG-5. Any suggestions on a strong magnetic case that could hold it to my mount leg? OR if someone has made a custom velcro mount for their rig, please post how they did it. I think Joe or Patrick made one already, but I can't find the post.

I find that the stock cradle holder for the CG-5 Hand Controller is useless.

Always out of reach, HC slips out constantly and I have been using the Industrial Velcro strips around the mount with satisfying success. Why not use the cradle to hold the iPhone?

I am experimenting using an old fill-light bracket that I had left over from my video days to hold on to the iPad mini. So far...works ok, but needs some tweaking.

But I think the cradle could work for your iPhone.

Do you suggest letting the HC dangle from the unit? I already have cord issues..

Might as well, as the crappy cradle loosely holds onto to HC.

A common problem with go-to users.

The Velcro around the mount works everytime and securely.

When packed away, the Velcro keeps the HC where I leave it, whereas the cradle would just let it go...finding it dangling often.
