I keep the 90mm refractor in the front entrance hall for some quick winter shots on the front porch. Keeping a 40mm 1.25" eyepiece in the focuser, it's just a simple matter of plopping open the tripod and quick handheld shots - this time with the 14mp Samsung pocket camera.
Today, it was high thin clouds, but otherwise sunny...
Coming back to the scope later in the afternoon, the waxing Moon made for a nice target, but again hazy conditions...
Nothing fancy.....It's nice just to spend a few moments with a scope in the winter's chill - not having to spend a 1/2 hr setting up the C11 and touching cold metal.
