Looking at purchasing one for my 9.25 edge scope on fork mount no wedge. Wondering how well it does with light pollution as I live in northern suburbs of Chicago. Looking to others if the like or dislike the system

Can't speak about Hyperstar usage, but a good light pollution filter is a must. You have a lot of options, but mojochv recently posted info on this thread:

Have not used the Hutech IDAS, but it sure looks good. There are cheaper options, so depends upon how serious you are and how deep the bank acct is at the moment. Joe has had good success with the filter he is using and Bill and I both use Orion Ultrablock.

Beyond that, regardless of what system you are using, shorter exposures and learning stacking would help things immensely.

The LP issue might be moot if you're going to do AP on a fork mount with no wedge. I think you'll have field rotation. Maybe the short exposure times will cut that down, but it may make it harder to stack.
