It is a great week for naked eye, binoculars AND small telescope enthusiasts! Jupiter, Venus, Mars and Saturn are all visible in the evening sky, Venus stops by a lovely open cluster early in the week, the Moon stops by two planets later in the week, and don't forget to take a look at the Sun (with an appropriate filter, of course!) as sunspot activity is increasing and you don't want to be unprepared for the Venus Transit in June.

I have the privilege of going up to Lutsen, MN this weekend which is near Thunder Bay ON. Crossing my fingers for clear skies so I can see and possibly capture some of these things! Perhaps some Aurora Borealis if i'm extra lucky?

Scott, we'll probably need a decent-sized coronal mass ejection tomorrow for you to see much in the way of aurora, though anything's possible (Paulie's probably more up to speed on that than me). With the exception of the Venus/Pleiades conjunction, you should be able to see all the planets just by looking in the right place. Remember to look early in the evening for Jupiter!
