Some CA has said to me that they feel I am not happy about this class. That is just not true. I am loving it, . . . minus the mosquitoes and spiders. I especially feel that it worth every penny and Chris Brownewell is very qualified instructor due to, partly, his previous sales and ownership experience of his optic store.

This week lecture is only on one subject. It is all about DSLR, it's types, brief history, pros and cons and how it is used with telescopes and accessories. Afterward, we set up for lab outside the classroom with a Goto Sirrius EQ and a Televue 65mm refractor.

Today, June 28th is a long awaited clear sky day and stay clear into the night. We start with a Lagoon Nebula and a bunch of Messier Objects so most everyone gets a hands on opportunity. Finally, we are taking pictures. Although there is a live view on the DSLR we go back to the classroom to view them on the 65" TV.

And then, I get detention . . . till dawn ;D

The spiders eat the skeeters though. And they haven't been nearly as bad as last year.

It's an introductory class. I wasn't sure what exactly would be taught in the class, but I don't think any reasonable being would expect to be an expert in AP after only eight sessions totaling just 24 hours. I'm glad you think it's been time and money well spent (especially since I recommended it.) I would have felt pretty bad if it had been a waste of your time.

It's been interesting to follow along in these posts, and when/if I ever want to try serious AP, I'll be looking them over again for information.

Actually, thank you for coming back so that I can see and do so much all in one night and eating those breakfast at 4:30am. It did seem like it was such short time. You and Hillary look particularly good in the middle of those pictures.
