It's been a rather dreary spring.

Rain, clouds, fog and not much astronomy going on - anywhere in the region. Saturday looks like a break in conditions.....

A nice beautiful linear blue series of squares are forecast and a nice patch of sky heading our way...

Not 100%, but partly cloudy skies are called for.

I can work with that.

If suitable, (evaluated by late Saturday afternoon), we will set up scopes around the Adler grounds by 8:00 pm.

Saturn will be the highlight of the evening, of course.

How's the "adler" looking for tonight?

Tonight's session - SCRUBBED

It's iffy for tonight's scope time.

Although it's finally warm, there's a lot of moisture in the atmosphere, hazy and a cloud mass moving in with no clear patches of clear sky. It may break up, but the safe bet is to cancel the session and save it for another night.

The extended forecast says that Friday might be mostly sunny. If so, then we will do it then.

Hi Tomlee,

Sorry about having to cancel tonight's event, but hazy skies just aren't conducive to decent observation.

But...

A 10:45 pm arrival would be much too late.

As the parks close down at 11:00 pm, we would breaking down the observation site at this time. 8:00 pm is the sweet spot to arrive.

Let's see when we get out next, but I hope you would join us.

Looking at the skies earlier this evening...we did indeed get clouded over.

It would have been a disappointing session for all around.

My spidey astro sense comes through again....
