Chicago Astronomer Star Party and Unveiling my new C-11 telescope
I recently acquired a classic C-11 SCT in great condition and with a Losmandy mount and legs - (Full narrative and pics soon), but it's like this one, minus the chick (working on it) -
It will be a great clear night in Chicago, (for November)...and I felt we should take it out and put it thru it's paces, maybe even power it up.
We shall assemble at the south lot of Northerly Island at 7:00 pm and stay until about 10:00...or later.
Jupiter and the crescent Moon will be out tonight, and a host of other fall objects to rediscover and I may try to image some objects as well.
It's a heavy, cumbersome beast, but with 11 inches of aperture, I think well worth it.
