Can anyone tell me how often the space station circles the globe in a 24 hour period? Thanks.

The ISS travels high above us at about 200 miles up (more or less), and makes a complete orbit about the planet every 90 minutes.

With the Space Shuttle attached and docked now, it's making a great observation target...and can even be seen on bright daylight.

I made a good catch of it two weeks ago in daylit skies:

The site "Heavens Above" ( www.heavens-above.com/ ) is a great resource to calculate when the ISS, (and other objects), will make a good flyover.
