[Al Degutis]

Friday night (2005-Oct-28), my neighbor Dave, his long-time friend Roman and I attended a special evening observing session at Yerkes Observatory. Yerkes does not typically have evening observing session through their domed scopes, but they opened up the 24-inch reflector by reservation only to view Mars and a few other deep space objects. The session was from 22:30 (CDT) until 00:00, but Dave, Roman and I were able to get an additiona hour on serving without the rest of the attendees. I'll write up a more detailed account of the session when I get a little more time. In the meantime here's a pic of Dave and Roman at the 24-inch reflector.
