Venus Transit planner
The forecast seems for partly clear skies and temperate conditions on Tuesday morning...Hooray!
I plan to be at the Adler at 4:00 am-ish. The gates leading up to the Planetarium are to be open at 5:00, so that does not give us much time to set up. Perhaps they will pity the poor city astronomer and open early.
Sunrise is at 5:16 am, with the Transit already in progress. It is always the challenge to spot the first sign of the northern limb of the sun peeking over the horizon.
I have some readers of the newsletter stating that they will join up at the Adler. If so, we should all take a group shot. Schools, astronomy organizations and independants are converging there as well. I recommend an early trip.
I also understand that the museum campus will all be free, so perhaps a day can be made from it.
Should be a great day!
