[Chicago Astronomer - Astro Joe]

I thought long and hard about creating a board on such a tragedy as the Space Shuttle Columbia incident. In an earlier discussion, it was brought up that the Israeli Astronaut, Ilan Ramon, and others knew of their fate prior to re-entering the Earth atmosphere. I didn't know the answer, and still don't, but perhaps we will uncover a tid-bit of information.

I believe it a good endeavor to explore what has been discovered so far thru perseverance and the Freedom of Information Act...information that NASA has kept from the public.

Included here will be the images, written transcripts, witness accounts and comments. Your participation is quite welcomed and as Chicago Astronomers, I'm depending on it.

We investigate with great respect and tribute to the crew of STS-107, their families and space explorer supporters everywhere. Some images and accounts may not be suitable for more sensitive readers, and I do apologize in advance. But in our exploration of the incident, we strive to attempt in grasping the truth on what actually happened, and not what was funneled to the general public. All true explorers chase the truth and new frontiers.

No, I don't mind, but it takes research time to compile a concise post. Just give proper credit to the Chicago Astronomer when you repost on your site.

When you redo your scope, will you also pay tribute to The Challenger and Apollo tragedies?

Of course I would. I am looking for a pic of the Challenger Shuttle and the Others that have have gone before them. I am not quit sure where I am going to put them yet still working out the details. I also want a few Nebula's on it.

Rumor has it the Shuttles will start to fly again around March 14 of next year. Alot of good changes have been made and we are close to putting them back in the air. Lets pray all goes well. I will let you all know more as I find out.

Lastest word is that the Suttles will fly in early May. They have not released a date as of yet. I will def be watching the liftoff when it does go up.

Considering the current incompetent administration there at NASA, I don't think it will occur.

Bad news for America's Space Program.
