The Lunar-Venus Conjunction from the Mediterranean
Chicago Astronomer Steve just returned from a trip to Greece and other lands. and sent me this cool shot of the recent conjunction we all witnessed and photographed in our western skies...
He goes on to say:
Joe,
"Just got back from Greece, I took a cool pic of Jupiter, Venus and the moon above the town of Oia ("eeya") in Santorini, Greek Islands 8-7-05 just after sunset.
It was a hand held time exposure with a 3 megapixel minolta braced against a stone wall.

I think it's quite a cool shot of the conjunction from Greece, and that we all share the same skies regardless where on this planet we might settle on.
He should have graffiti-ed on the wall "Chicago Astronomers rule!"...
