Chicago Astronomer Winter Babies Get together

It's been awhile since we all got together and celebrated our group birthdays, (one year), and we decided it's time for another one.
We choose a Mexican Restaurant not too far from my home on a Friday evening and of course, documented our time.

From left to right: Jude, John, Linda, Steve, Myself, Joyce, Fred, Bill and Carmen

Jude brought us some nice party favors including little green men, that are visible throughout this post peeking out from our pockets.

John brought the booze for the crew, and here he is masterfully uncorking. We thank him for the beverages.

Food is always good at this joint, one of my favorite restaurants, and the three of us, Linda, Steve and myself ordered huge steaks. A small cow sacrificed itself for the selfish needs of Chicago astronomers. Yum!...

In between bites, we discussed a phalanx of topics including paranormal experiences we have had.

I was very much interested in listening to shared experiences and sharing my own. Quite eerie! This is my interested look.

Shown above are some of the antics astronomers do on our off time.
A couple of hours later it was time to cough up and kick in for our delicious meal.

Steve counted up our contributions, and left a healthy tip for our waitress, (Seen behind me above in my interested look).

Fred and Joyce had to leave early and so I grabbed a quick pic before they left.

And so, with bellies full and a good shared evening we pose for our obligatory group shot.
I always enjoy my time with fellow lovers of the night sky, and afterwards John and I continued our social evening at a different location with Rieslings and other wines.
We need to celebrate summer Chicago Astronomer babies as well!
